A happy bridesmaid makes a happy bride.

  • Be there for her.

Listen to her excitement, ideas, and concerns. Planning a wedding can be both an exciting and stressful time for the bride and groom. Simply be her confidante, her place of peace when she’s feeling overwhelmed.

  • Respect her desires and theme when it comes to choosing your bridesmaid dress.

Yes, it may not be your first choice but remember this is her day, and honestly not worth giving her stress over it. She will definitely want you to feel and be as happy and as comfortable as possible, so be diplomatic.

  • Throw her a party.

Plan a weekend getaway retreat with the rest of the gals. Dedicate a weekend where the goal is to not talk about wedding planning but to simply celebrate your friendship.

  • Be Alert.

On the day of the wedding be alert amidst the hustle and bustle of the excitement and last-minute things that need to be taken care of. Be her calm environment prepared for anything she needs.

  • Have a bridal emergency kit.

This can include a sewing kit and make-up kit for touch-ups after the makeup team leaves. Can you imagine needing a safety pin for something simple yet there's not a single one around for miles?

  • Bathroom duty.

Yes, you are on bathroom duty from the moment she slips that wedding gown on until the groom whisks her away. Depending on her dress this could take up a good amount of time from the dance floor but she will be forever grateful and your friendship will only grow stronger from this day forward.

  • Feed the bride.

This is probably the most important job you'll have. It is so easy to let the jitters and all the last-minute things that need to get done get in the way of breakfast or lunch. Make sure your girl eats so her energy level matches the party. Champagne on an empty stomach will be more work for you at the end of the night.

  • Last but not least, HAVE FUN!!!

Take silly pictures, jump on the dance floor and celebrate your friend’s special day.
