Are your vendors ghosting you?
What to do when your wedding vendors won’t call you back
Planning a wedding is one of the most exciting times in a person’s life. However, it can also be incredibly stressful, especially when your wedding vendors won’t return your calls or emails. Whether you’re trying to reach your photographer, caterer, florist, or any other vendor, it can be frustrating when you’re feeling ghosted. But fear not! In this blog post, we’ll discuss some steps you can take when your wedding vendors won’t call you back.
The first thing to do when your wedding vendor doesn’t respond is to not jump to conclusions or assume the worst. Sometimes vendors are simply busy with other events and may not have had a chance to get back to you yet. Give them the benefit of the doubt and wait a reasonable amount of time before following up again.
If you’ve already tried reaching out multiple times with no response, it’s time to escalate the situation through different channels – if you’ve been emailing, try calling instead. If that doesn’t work, consider contacting the vendor through social media or even stopping by their physical location if possible. Sometimes a different form of communication can get their attention.
If all else fails and your vendor still isn’t responding, it may be time to contact your venue support team for assistance - especially if the company is on the venue’s preferred vendor list. If the company is not on the venue's preferred list, it might be best to begin researching other vendors in the area who offer similar services and reach out to see if they’re available for your date. It’s never ideal to switch vendors last minute, but sometimes it’s necessary for the success of your big day.
Dealing with unresponsive wedding vendors can be incredibly frustrating, but it’s important not to let it ruin your special day. By remaining calm, escalating communication efforts, and being proactive about finding alternatives, you can ensure that everything goes smoothly on your wedding day. Remember that communication is key in any relationship – including your wedding vendors – and don’t hesitate to advocate for yourself if necessary.
